How will you record me?
We're a mobile recording studio. We'll bring all the equipment to where you're most comfortable or where's most convenient and record you there.
How long does it usually take?
There's two things to consider when committing to a legacy recording.
1. Recording time – How long will it take you to say everything you need to say? Typically this is done in a single session. Typical session length is 3-6 hours. It's not uncommon to do it over multiple sessions. Often topics are emotional and breaks are needed between sessions.
2. Editing time – This is how long it takes me to edit and compile all of your recording into the final deliverables. This varies greatly depending on wishes. Some people want certain parts delivered personally to different people and to keep them private from others. An example of this could look like; File 1 delivered to Son, File 2 delivered to brother, and File 3 delivered to all family. Others just want one file with minimal edits delivered to everyone. Typically the turnaround time is 4-8 weeks after the final recording session is completed to your liking.
Can I buy a Legacy Recording for someone else?
Yes! This is actually the most common way Legacy Recordings are purchased. You can purchase it for a family member, a friend, or even donate a session to an organization or a person in need.
